These terms govern your use of the Life Well Spent Finance website, Steady, Savor, and our free tools (together, the "Services"), operated by Marisa Battaglini, a sole proprietor doing business as "Life Well Spent Finance." By using the Services, you agree to these terms.
Not tax, legal, or investment advice
Life Well Spent Finance provides financial education and software tools. It does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice, and using the Services does not create a client relationship of any kind. Tax estimates are approximations based on the information you enter and do not account for your full situation. Confirm your actual tax liability with a licensed tax professional before making decisions or payments based on anything the Services show you.
Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Steady and Savor are offered on a subscription basis, with a free trial period that requires no card up front.
- If you choose to subscribe after your trial, you'll be billed on the plan and schedule shown at checkout, through our payment processor, Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period. See our Refund Policy for full details.
- We may change our prices, but we'll give existing subscribers notice before a price change takes effect on their account.
Quarterly Review
The Quarterly Review is a human consulting service performed personally by Marisa, in addition to the Steady software. Spots are limited. Purchasing a Quarterly Review does not create an accountant-client, attorney-client, or other professional advisory relationship beyond the scope of the review itself.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Services for anything illegal; attempt to access another user's account or data; interfere with or disrupt the Services; or reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Services without our permission.
Your data
You own the financial data, records, and content you enter into Steady and Savor. We don't claim ownership over it, and you can export it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect it.
Intellectual property
The Services themselves — including the software, design, content, and the Life Well Spent Finance name and logo — are owned by Marisa Battaglini / Life Well Spent Finance and may not be copied, resold, or used without permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life Well Spent Finance is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including any tax penalties, financial loss, or business decisions made based on information from the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may stop using the Services and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
